About Us
We are Mat and Courtney Lasky, the proud Franchise Owners and Chief Editors of Uniquely You Magazine. As parents of six, our journey has been shaped by a deep commitment to service, family, and community. Our shared values and experiences have brought us to where we are today—dedicated to making a positive impact and building a business that reflects our passion for supporting others.
Mat served 13 years as an infantryman in the U.S. Army, completing four tours to Iraq where he focused on community outreach and expanding resources to support the local Iraqi population. His leadership and dedication led to his role as a Senior Drill Sergeant, where he was responsible for organizing, coordinating, and training all new recruits for the 2-13th Infantry Battalion at Fort Jackson, SC. Mat’s military career instilled in him a profound respect for service and community, values he continues to carry forward in every aspect of his life.
Courtney, a passionate advocate in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), has spent nearly two decades helping individuals with developmental challenges. Her extensive background in ABA has given her a deep understanding of the unique needs of those in our community and a commitment to supporting families and businesses that make a difference. Together, we bring a wealth of experience, expertise, and dedication to Uniquely You Magazine.
Through Uniquely You Magazine, we combine our unique skill sets and life experiences to create a business that is not only a reflection of our personal values but also a platform for service, community engagement, and support for families, businesses, and individuals facing challenges related to chronic illness, disabilities, and special needs.
We are proud to continue our legacy of service and support, and we are committed to fostering a community that thrives through connection, empowerment, and compassion.
At Uniquely You Magazine, we believe every person is unique, and every story deserves to be heard. Thank you for joining us on this journey to make a difference.
